1.Regional Business Process and Knowledge Management Conference Held

The first Regional Business Process and Knowledge Management Conference, "BPM&KM Conference 2009," took place on 9 and 10 June 2009, in Sarajevo, hotel Holiday Inn. Leading local and foreign experts from the government, public sector and academia gathered to present the newest knowledge and share their experiences from this area.  Dr. Nikola Špirić, chairman of the Council of Ministers BiH, opened the Conference in front of two hundred people. The Conference was held unuder the auspices of the Council of Ministers BiH, Business Process Management Institue and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The co-organizers were the School of Economics and Business Sarajevo, Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Sarajevo and Infodom Sarajevo.

The main speakers included the president of the Program Committee, prof.dr.sc.Zlatko Lagumdžija (School of Economics and Business Sarajevo), prof.dr.sc.Slavko Vidović (Faculty of Organization and Informatics Varaždin), prof. dr. sc. Mladen Radivojević (Ministry of Administration and Local Self-Government in Republika Srpska, Banja Luka), Ivan Maglić (Gartner Adriatic), prof. dr. sc. Diana Šimić (president, eSEE Initiative), mr.sc. Kemal Kačapor (School of Economics and Business Sarajevo) and Aida Soko (PricewaterhouseCoppers).
 
 The main themes at the Conference included topics such as, Business process Management (BPM): business and public administration, digitalization of processess as an e-business base, business process models of leading industries, business process tools and measures, Knowledge Management (KM): leadership and organization, learning and innovation as well as technologies for KM systems.
